In the community, James Auto Center has been recognized by the Bay County Chamber of Commerce as a "Small Business of the Month" and has received the "Apple of Our Eye Award" for renovations to the business office and repair shop. James is an active member in both the Bay County Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Panama City Beaches Chamber of Commerce and has served on numerous committees.

James Auto Center provided funds and man hours to build a home for Habitat for Humanity of Bay County. James believes that giving back to our community is the highest honor one can achieve.

For the past three years James has served as the President of the Navy League of Bay County. He has worked with the Navy League to help organize the annual Navy Birthday ball for the last four years. James was also involved in the recent commissioning of the USS Mesa Verde.

James has also been a mentor to students in Bay County School for many years. Presently he is serving as the President of the Haney Foundation. He is also serving on the Haney School Advisory Board.

James joined the Lynn Haven Rotary Club in 2002. He was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2004 for his exemplary performance of the Rotary Motto "Service Above Self".  He is presently President Elect of the Lynn haven Rotary Club and the club is looking forward to his leadership in 2008.
